Scope and document review
GridField Sourcing is an independent sourcing service. A portakabin search can open the conversation, but the work on this page is the written scope that lets two factories answer the same question. This desk does not claim manufacturer status or authorized dealer status, and it does not supply the named brand.
Send Project RequirementsBuyers often receive one number for a shell and another for a building that includes freight, set and utilities. The table keeps those columns apart. Values stay as questions until a supplier fills them for the quoted system.
| Line | Shell or kit | Installed or turnkey ask |
|---|---|---|
| Primary structure | Primary frame, secondary framing, purlin and girt as specified by the bidder | Same frame plus the erection sequence and crane lift plan the bidder accepts |
| Envelope | Wall and roof build-up, insulated metal panel if offered, openings listed | Envelope plus site joint closure, flashings and a stated thermal transmittance |
| Foundation interface | Reaction loads or bearing points the buyer must design for | Who designs the pad, piers or slab, and which soils data is assumed |
| Services | Rough-in points only, or excluded | Electrical, plumbing and HVAC extent, and what stays with local trades |
| Freight and tax | Ex-works or a named handover point | Destination, unloading, duties and tax shown as their own lines |
| Documents | General arrangement if included | Calculations, weld notes and a quality document tied to the plant and jurisdiction |
Product, freight, unloading, foundation, installation, utilities, permits and tax. If a bidder folds two of those into one figure, ask for the split before the figure is ranked.
State modules or building sets, not a vague lot. Add whether the count is a single phase or a repeat order. Partial shipment rules belong beside the count.
Yes. Write USD and say per unit or whole order. Leaving it blank does not block the note. The budget is a target, not a price this desk has already obtained.
General arrangement, reactions at the foundation interface, envelope description, and any calculation the bidder says is included. Welding references such as AWS D1.1 are requests, not a claim that this desk holds a stamp.
IBC commercial modular work, IRC housing and HUD Code manufactured homes are named separately. A supplier must say which regime the quote assumes. A US destination does not by itself select one of them.
The buyer and the project professionals they appoint. GridField Sourcing organizes questions and quotations. It does not approve a substitution, a plant or a warranty.
Put the use, the dimensions, the known loads and the destination in the note. GridField Sourcing will use that text as the comparison basis. No fixed discount is offered.
